We are introduced to Cathy and Catherine. Cathy sees in the bedroom that Earnshaw's hidden room Catherine Earnshaw written all over because they were once in love. Cathy and Heathcliff have fallin in love and running off together. Cathy does not know her mother Catherine because she died giving birth. Earnshaw and Catherine were once in love but Catherine left him so now he is taking his revenge on them.
